How Do I Move Forward After I Fail? Aug 23 2026 Service

Aug 23, 2026    Pastor Keith Moore

What happens after we fall? Not the small, quiet stumbles, but the kind of failure that leaves a mark on our lives and the lives of those around us? This message takes us into one of the most honest and hopeful conversations in all of Scripture, found in John 21, where a risen Jesus meets a broken Peter on the shore of the Sea of Galilee and does something extraordinary. He does not lecture. He does not shame. He restores. The central truth we explore together is this: Jesus is the one who rebuilds broken lives, and our role is to trust Him enough to cooperate with His ways. That cooperation begins with confession, not the hollow recitation of words, but the raw, unguarded act of owning what we have done without minimizing it, explaining it away, or hiding behind excuses. We also wrestle with the surprising pride buried inside the phrase 'I just cannot forgive myself,' and discover that refusing to receive God's forgiveness is, at its core, a failure of faith. We believe the Scriptures when they say our sins have been cast as far as the east is from the west, then living as though they have not been forgiven is choosing our feelings over God's word. This message is an invitation to stop hiding and start healing.
